So far, all the talk has been about getting past the FAA for clearance to fly higher.
Now, every R/C modeller knows it's possible to fly one's model plane all the way out of range of one's controller and so lose it. Every remote control and cordless phone in your home has that little FCC warning about it's signal output. What are the FCC requirements for a transmitter flying a remote-controlled "model" up to thirteen miles away (65,000 ft.)? And that's if it's directly overhead!
How do you get around THAT?
I'm not sure WSGI is ready (or approved) for full autonomous flight yet.
