Hi Troy, Bob Norman, the primary author of Newport ran out of time to keep up selling it. He is an insurance broker by day and a musician by night. That doesn't leave a lot of time for support of the software. He's had inquiries from a couple of programmers to take on Newport and finish upgrading it for newer Windows platforms but hasn't gotten very far on that yet.

Newport will run in XP with the condition that the user has to remember to input five characters for any ticker symbol. So, if it's an ETF with only three letters in the ticker, you have to add to it. I use the Underscore key and that seems to work fine. An example would be ABC. You would type into Newport A B C _ _ and the software runs fine. For some reason known only to Bill Gates, when Millennium and XP came out, it wouldn't accept blank spaces in a comma delimited file any more. So we're forced to fill the gaps with something else.

Best regards,
Tom
