I play a lot of pinkies and always wonder why is it that when a FINRA short list comes out on a stock that it appears to never being covered. I found out that the FINRA short list that we see is not entirely accurate.

The shortlist we see is that of shares that were shorted BUT the list does not show when the shares were covered. So the short list may have some shorts on it but it is a possibility that the shares could have been covered during the day. With that said I no longer follow that FINRA short list waiting for MM's to cover. I just trad'em.
