dmiller......Where have you been? I thought that most on this board now understand pretty much how this can happen. Put together the large, long-standing short position, the ability to short on downticks, collusion between market-makers and the ability to short unborrowed shares (as long as they are covered in T+3) and it takes no imagination to see how this happens.
