Interesting note from TD Ameritrade. I received a reply in the mail today from my complaint filed with FINRA from TD Ameritrade. Here is the interesting part:

"Please note that the global lock was removed from SMPP on April 5, 2011 and replaced by a new restriction specifying that this security now trades in physical certificates only. TD Ameritrade has allowed clients to sell any SMPP shares held in their accounts since that date, but new purchases continue to be prohibited"

News to me.
