It is good to hear that the characteristics of the device are similar to an actual tar cig. Smokers will I think want to have this device at least as a back up in case they cannot light up and having stored in say a travel bag is a nice luxury along with allowing it to hang off the lips as you mention.
As I have read the reviews over the past week I get the feeling that the concensus is that the RE/AL device scores well in many aspects, especially how closely it resembles a real tar cig, but that also the device needs a small tweak as regards the sensitivity of the heating element to its sensing of the drag by the user; "At first i dragged so slowly that it didn't light up..".

I am sure the company has been thinking of possible solutions to this small weakness in feature design but after thinking about this myself I had the thought that a good idea as to a possible solution for this one tiny flaw could be the following. The company could put some R/D funds and time/effort into doing a kind of 'magic jack' type of device control with the RE/AL ecig device and the USB bridge (for charging) so that if a consumer were to plug it into the USB port of a computer, a proprietary SFIO made software app would pop up and doesnt need installation but just runs while the device is plugged in. This would be a huge step forward for not only the consumers of the RE/AL product but the company. Let me explain. The app could contain a section for 'Config' or user settings in which the device has some sort of API that the company would also have to inject into the manufacturing of a newly designed device such that the running app could modify the various settings of the device like for instance the level/sensitivity for detecting 'drag' on the device (and maybe also extras like how quickly to turn off after X number of drags in N time frame or some nice features which at that point would be limitness because of the level of control the app could have over the device).
The users could then while charging simply establish tweaked or modified config settings (templates) which would establish basically what type of smoker the user was. This would help the company because the app could occasionally send some portion of user data from the app and in aggregate see what the base of the companys customers have as their templates and settings (what the trend is), etc. Actually, some of those little USB flash drives have this sort of app/software (SanDisk Cruzer mini..) including extra features to encrypt the drive, etc. Actually wouldnt that be cool if the device itself could have a tiny flash (maybe 10GB) wafer in the device so as to not only hold the app and user settings but a User specific folder for storing data and other stuff.
cheers
