My Real experience:
After opening my package, the first thing i did was remove my nicotine patch, and put the box in my pocket the way i always keep my smokes. I liked the way it felt just like a regular pack, rather than feeling like i was carrying around a pen like the vapor model i tried once. I then read the instructions, and it charged fully within 1/2 hour just like they said it would. I put it together and put on the filter, and dang this thing is an exact replica of a regular smoke, just a tiny bit heavier. Filter is extremely realistic. Overall this thing is WAY more like a regular cig than the vapor models. You can even let it dangle from your mouth while playing guitar, something impossible with a vape.
I waited as long as i could to let the nic-patch wear off, and finally tried it. I had the same experience as many here, and had to get the hang of it. At first i dragged so slowly that it didn't light up, so i did the "carb" method and it worked. Pretty soon i figured out the right amount of suction to get the hit without covering the holes.
As for the "throat hit", it is relatively light, but for me that is a good thing. I want nicotine, not a burnt throat. That is why i am trying to get away from tobacco in the first place.
As for the taste, i have the "virginia" and it is pretty spicey. Not sure what to compare it to. Very strange at first, but by this morning i am used to it. In fact, I bummed a tobacco cig just to compare, and now the tobacco tastes like crud to me. Just goes to show--it's all about whatever you get used to.
Next order i'm gonna try the "American" blend, just to see the difference.
IMO, this thing will definitely have a niche in the market. I think it is perfect for situations where smoke/vapor are not accepted, and it's a heck of a lot better than those packets of "$nu$" the tobacco companies are trying to push for the same situations.
Plus, this thing looks so much like a regular cigarette, it is the closest replica i have ever seen.
