This is just a shot in the dark, but I saw it done once in the past with the Chinese and a small mining stock I owned. TYTN may be just using the new shares for colateral, to get a supersized order of equipment, for multiple distrubutors. They get the shares back once the jumbo order is paid for after sales.. Just speculating here, but wouldn't it be cool to have 20 shiploads of equipment hitting the west coast of the US and Canada all at once, instead of just 1 or 2... The reason the # was so high imo, was so the company retains voting control while still being able to issue a couple billion shares as colateral. If this is indeed the case, after the payments are final, the company would get the shares back and return them to the treasury and possibly cancel them shortly after, leaving us with the original share structure, and a share price through the roof and primed for a huge buyout.. All just guessing here, but it is as good as what I have read here today...
