Good morning Ray, Re: Beta......
It's one of the measures I look at for individual stocks generally. The Beta I use is Value Line's and I also use their "Stock Price Stability" rating as well.

By looking at both I get a better feel of how the stock has acted over time. I've found very low BETA stocks (less than 1.00) that also display very low price stability. This has brought some interesting stocks to light.
