Nice find Robert. Looks like he is (was) a Director of SMPP on the "Board" and according to his LinkedIn profile (below) he is currently the President and owner of Vend Natural which is in the Food and Beverage industry.

Judging by their website I think we would all extremely fortunate if Mr. Carpenter became CEO. What would be better is if Vend Natural moved into the SMPP shell as his business looks very interesting.
