To put in my two cents on the HG and Rip dismissals:

Two years ago I witnessed Harry's reaction to the defeat of the stock option plan at the ASM. It was not professional. To me he displayed emotions that it was his company, he saved it from extinction, and that he should be able to do whatever he wanted with it - stockholders and BoD be damned.

Fast forward two years, Howard does something, Nokia related or not, that displeases Harry. Howard was not Harry's first choice to begin with and Harry fires him. Rip was a lame duck with a target on his back when given the COO job. A position the company didn't need and one we knew Rip couldn't do (oops, IMO) Harry cleans house by firing him too. What we will probably never know is what Howard did to displease Harry. Sell stock? Anger Nokia? Fail to secure additional licenses? Send operating costs through the roof? Fall guy for the last two year's poor performance?

What a minute - what about that last one. Harry's up for re-election and he knows that some stockholders have opposed him in the past - those ungrateful louts. What about creating a fall guy? Howard you're it - take your Entrepeneur of the Year Award and go away quietly.
