This forward split is very uncommon but sometimes it works out for companies that are ready to explode. By increasing the shares outstanding and showing strong fundamentals at the same time,the market cap could increase 10 times or better. Thus increasing the total value of the company.

GTLL must know that they will have the strong fundamentals to back up a move like this. Other than that, the forward split would make no sense at at all.
