I'm a bit hesitant to believe they've already gotten any funding. They wouldn't still be pinching pennies if they had.

I expect they would do some financing, but I would also expect them to get the pps up considerably higher, first. They could easily do that by merely saying they are in negotiations with major distributors, which they haven't done yet.
