Actually that last one makes a lot of sense. WAMU was instrumental in bringing cheap quality banking to the masses, who better than walmart to take that up with banks in every location and the same wamu philosophy. It would really stick it to the banking industry once more.

Also what about Barclays? They would like a big US footprint...
