I'm afraid you are again mistaken about the SMAS trades this year. What you seem to be missing is that brokers are free to trade stocks on the gray market at any price, including below .0001, and shareholders are always free to make arrangements with their brokers to trade shares. This accounts for the SMAS trades below .0001 this year that show up on Level II below. In the normal market Market Makers can trade shares below .0001. In the gray market brokers can trade shares below .0001 for their clients who may request any price, including below .0001. Remember, the gray market is unregulated, and does not behave the same way as normal market trading. And those SMAS trades are indeed trades. Even the sources you quoted calls trades on the gray market "trades". "Trades in grey (sic) market stocks are reported by broker-dealers to their Self Regulatory Organization (SRO)." This is because they involve a buyer and a seller. Again, see Level II Time & Sales below.
