Actually, quite a bit is contradictory...

SMAS is a totally DEAD company that has never produced a single penny of profit!! It should be delisted as it does not communicate with shareholders. A class-action Suit against the company would be a great idea except that, amazingly enough, a public company with 20 BILLION shares, has ZERO assets!!!!

Brokers are able to trade at any price.

Brokers only execute orders for clients, and clients are not able to buy or sell below market minimum, which is .0001. Exchanges UNDER .0000 are volume, but are NOT trades (I thought we covered this?).

The most recent SMAS trade was 2 million shares traded on 5/13/11 at a pps below .0001.

Sorry, NOT a trade. Maybe the CEO needed a Happy Meal?

According to otcmarkets.com, a pretty reliable source on how the markets are classified, and spelled btw. Weird, but it seems that some people just don't want to accept the obvious, wouldn't you agree?

There are no market makers in this security. It is not listed, traded or quoted on any U.S. stock exchange or the OTC Markets. Trades in grey market stocks are reported by broker-dealers to their Self Regulatory Organization (SRO) and the SRO distributes the trade data to market data vendors and financial websites so investors can track price and volume. Since grey market securities are not traded or quoted on an exchange or interdealer quotation system, investor's bids and offers are not collected in a central spot so market transparency is diminished and Best Execution of orders is difficult.

Then there is Wikipedia - (this is the category SMAS is in)

Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware
There is a public interest concern associated with the company. This may include a spam campaign, stock promotion or known investigation of fraudulent activity committed by the company or insiders. During a spam campaign, any stock that is not in the Current Information category will also have its quotes blocked on pinksheets.com.
[edit]Other OTC markets

[edit]Grey Market
Securities that are not listed on any stock exchange nor formally quoted via the OTCBB or Pink Sheets are considered to be in the Grey Market. Unsolicited transactions are processed independently and not centrally listed or quoted. Trades are reported to a Self-regulatory organization (SRO), which then passes the data on to market data companies.

ANOTHER example........

OTC Grey Market Stocks

There are no market makers in the OTC Grey Market.

Securities are not listed, traded or quoted on any stock exchange or on OTC Markets.

Trades in grey market stocks are reported by broker-dealers to their Self Regulatory Organization (SRO)

the SRO distributes the trade data to market data vendors and financial websites so investors can track price and volume.

Since grey market securities are not traded or quoted on an exchange or an interdealer quotation system, investor's bids and offers are not collected in a central spot so market transparency is diminished.

Best Execution of orders is difficult.
