Another perspective!
I agree the delay in posting the settlement is only good for Equity. It is amazing what one can get a person to do when you have evidence to ruin their standing in society, loss of license and prison. Maybe just maybe Rosie is getting a taste of his own medicine, but much worse IMHO. JPM always thinks they can threaten, intimidate, bully and then as a last result actually buy their way out. If the truth is known, they probably have not even considered buying their way out until fairly recently which brings me to my point. Maybe the EC and Susman have a “White Knight” lined up (competitor) and Susman has refused to sell at this point, thus driving the TRUE price of WMI up exponentially. JPM never figured on this happening until recently and if Susman and Willingham have refused JPM’s low ball offers to buy this lock, stock and barrel, this could be the reason for delay as Rosie probably figured this would be easy since he has been caught.
The best and true way to get the highest price will of course be after exiting chapter 11 and refuse to sell to JPM period. Oh, once people are in the know there will NOT be a shortage of very interested players willing to bid this up if given an opportunity. This is getting very interesting at just the thought WMI is not for sale to anything JPM would be willing to pay. Wow, only to be a fly on the wall and I would not be surprised to see Susman postpone his filing on objections and this getting delayed even further. Just think of the opportunities the new WMI could have once free and clear of the corrupt Delaware Court system! We will either see the ne POR very soon or we get the continued delay and this ONLY bodes very well for Equity. For the first time in this case I finally feel Equity has the upper hand and again, it is amazing what prison does for one’s future and decision making perspective.
