Here is part of the email reply I got from Robert Hansen, President of Fused Armor Inc., when I asked about the patent relationship between them and Tytan. There does seem to be some confusion, and I hope Tytan isn't using the process, because they thought that they owned the rights. I'm going to hold off before I buy I think, and wait for the smoke to clear.

Dear Ernie:

Regarding the patent, we just learned that it supposedly had been “sold” because we were tracking web occurrences of the phrase “Fused Armor.” We found the quote from Tytan’s annual report together with considerable “buzz” about ourselves. This is the first we had even heard of Tytan. What I can tell you at this point is that the assignment of US Patent No. 6,518,209 was rescinded from Eko Thermal Coatings, Inc. by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and assigned back to Gary Wilson, the inventor, on October 4, 2005. (Mr. Wilson had previously been involved with Eko founders, Jerry Leslie and Paul Stringer who appear to now be involved with Tytan. Mr. Wilson has since joined with me and others in Applied Technology Laboratories LLC and Fused Armor, Inc.) Mr. Wilson assigned the above patent to Applied Technology Laboratories LLC on September 4, 2008. (You can check all this for yourself at www.uspto.gov under their assignments tab.) We are continuing to look into this matter.
