I use to think that way too.

I have two properties for sale that have been reduced right next to campus that I can't get rid of. Most have been sitting on the market over a year now.

I hate to rent them out again but may have no choice :(

On a good note, property values haven't depreciated around here much and i bought them many years ago for a lot less.

just no one is buying now. I wonder if colleges are being affected as well (kids are going to school in state/staying home with parents). At one time it was cheaper to buy the condo for them to attend college for four years than to rent or pay for a dorm.
