In an area that has been in production for a few yrs I would agree that doing it in the area would be ideal. I am guessing and that's all it is, is a guess, that because this is an exploratary dig that there is no established infurstructure close by for extraction of finer gold nor do I think sney has invested the capitol to set up something like that on what in actuality is a dream.

Once actual tonnage/value can be established and cost effectiveness of establishing said infurstructure vs cost of transporting off site will probably or should be considered.

Sometimes it's just more effecient to ship everything to one place and seperate it all there, vs trying to do it all locally.
