Everything is high and dry here (Northwest LA). We have drought conditions and burn bans in effect. I got back from down south a few hours ago and I have to say the flooding is a huge problem there. I seen wells partially under water and will be out of sight for at least a month. The basin is suposed to fill another 6 feet. The refinery I went to near Baton Rouge had water moving through it from the Mississipi river. Barge traffic has been stopped.
One thing that struck me was that the wildlife that live in the thousands of acres inside the flooded areas will probably drown. They bunch up on a small hill until that too is overtaken by the water. It's a mess.
