The price difference between a named brand phone and a HPON phone is not that great. There is a hugh difference between buying a towel or washcloth and saving $.50 over the cost of the same or like item at Wal-Mart and buying a Cell Phone, which people are very very "Clicky" about, and saving $25.00 to $50.00. That is like saying I could have bought a fully loaded Chevy Tahoe for $32,000.00 but I decided to go with a fully loaded KIA Sportage for $26,000.00. Trust me. 99.9% of people would pay the extra $6,000.00 and get the Tahoe. On the same note, people will pay the extra $25.00 to $50.00 and get the fully loaded MOT, LG, etc. phone over a HPON.

Something I have noticed about poor people. It is one thing to be poor. It is another thing all together to act like it. I have people working for me who make Minumum wage that drive nice cars. Not the heavly discounted imports (i.e. KIA). They also have the top of the line cell phones. As a matter of fact 4 of the people who work for me just traded up and had to pay full price because they were still under contract for the new Nokia phone with the speaker phone addition. These people, although not wealty, would not be caught dead with a discounted phone like HPON.
