I have been wondering “how much” this portion of the Ericy settlement may be worth to IDCC:

Ericsson also has granted an option to InterDigital for a Reference Design License and Support Agreement for Ericsson's GSM/GPRS/UMTS platform.

The Arbitration Panel was asked to calculate an “equivilent royalty rate” from the Ericy settlement to be applied to the Nokia contract (asuming the trigger was pulled).

Has Nokia reserved a sufficient amount in their “Infringement Provision” to cover the IPR and the Arbitration Panel’s assessment of “how much” IDCC’s option with Ericy is worth? Starting June 1st, Nokia will necessarily need to live with the Arbitration Panel’s opinion on this matter IF there is no Settlement this month. JMHO
