Jorma is not without pressure to settle.

1. His people are without the best products in the U.S. which is the largest market in the world, which must be driving the NY boyz nuts.

2. His executives continue to suffer from options that are under water, and his 155,000 employees' 401Ks are suffering; highly unusual for the biggest and baddest dog on the block.

3. The Euro is down from 1.35 to 1.26, diluting his former advantage by 9 points, and likely to grow larger.

4. He may have reserved $450 milion or so, for an adverse arb. decision. However, if the Award is healthy for IDCC, he risks being exposed as a polecat to the rest of the wireless world, not to mention Wall Street.

He may not settle. But there's no accounting for some peoples stupidity.
