Hi, Roy. To answer your question regarding why I prefer shorting SPY Calls to longing SPY Puts, I don't really know what more I can add to our many previous discussions on this same subject over the years both here and on 'the other thread' that would help you to better understand why I do what I do, so let me just say I do it because it makes money for me (well, most of the time, LOL). Would longing Puts also make money for me? Maybe, don't know as I don't usually do it. I prefer to stick to what works for me, what I am comfortable with. When/if it doesn't work any longer, that will be time enough to look at other methods.

Yes, you are absolutely correct, Roy, those were the SPY monthly (not the weekly) options, and should have been identified as such so as not to confuse anyone (even though there were no weeklies this week, LOL).

As to DO, I trade by T/A only (I leave the F/A to more detail-oriented people like you, LOL). DO is a favorite of mine. I almost always have an open position in it long or short, and I don't believe I have ever lost money trading it, though I'd have to check to be sure.
