I used to know a guy like this, he had his hands in a lot of different things. I am not saying this is the case, just what it reminds me of.

He would back a business with cash and let the people he trusted run it, as long as it made him money he was happy.

I know more than a dozen realestate agents in my area trying to figure out how they are going to keep making a living.... heck part of the reason I am learning the stock market is to try and make enough to not worry about how I am going to make a living when my money runs out.
