No, it's not obvious, at least not to me.

What I find surprising, is that it isn't obvious that that approach doesn't work.

Expressing your hopes, and opinions directly to John is the best way to go.

He will evaluate your hopes and opinions, against the backdrop of what's right for the company. Sometimes changes will be made and sometimes they won't.

I think you would agree it would be unrealistic to expect the company to react to every shareholder complaint or suggestion.

They would lose any sense of direction, especially given some of the more dubious complaints and suggestions that get thrown out there.

The company is run by sincere conscientious individuals. If a suggestions is good for the company, it will probably be implemented as funds are available. The ultimate arbiter of that decision is still gonna be officers of the company.

You can't lead a company by consensus of opinion, especially when there is such a huge disconnect between shareholder expectations and the realities in the field.

Most shareholders (myself included) don't have a clue about life in Sierra Leone.

I try to educate myself as best I can, but you don't get an appreciation of no electricity, or no clean water, no roads, or no fuel, snakes and bugs, or any of that shit out of a book or an article
