**Sheila Bair will walk off into the sunset in 2 months, with 5 years at the head of the FDIC. Fully responsible for the illegal seizure of Wamu, it looks like she will get away with the crime of the century.

I remember all the posts that Sheila & Jamie were going to jail, or would have to settle, yada yada yada. Well, we know how it turns out for Bair: Very, very good. She'll make a killing on the public speaking circuit. Maybe right a book. Probably get some high paid consulting fees with JPM, etc.

Sheila walks away from this completely and utterly unscathed. As will Jaime eventually. Equity on the other hand probably won't be walking away unscathed that's for sure.
