Around 34 employees sounds about right. Everyone should remember that NEOM is still burning cash and doesn't want to give up any more control by more and more financing. I think lesnshawn is spot on about the third party "heavy lifting". Again, NEOM is doing the right thing. The business is quite scalable and doesn't need an army to ramp up. In addition to providing resources, all these partnerships have the additional advantage of increasing awareness and buy-in (which will be needed early on). In a lot of ways, Microsoft became so dominant because they promised their partners they'd get rich by joining them. And in most cases, they were right. Back to cash, remember 34 employees at an average of $100k/yr (salary and all overhead) is $3.4M. No need to break the bank this early.
