On the Monday after the May, 20 (3rd Friday of May) it will be known if AMRN will hold it's ground without any new deal/partnership, approval, etc or not.

There are about 15.000 AMRN Put option contracts @10 to 15 that expire on 20 May, thats for 1.500.000 shares. What's the change the owners are going to buy a new protective put again lowering their profits after they already bought one. If they sell they take profits and unless AMRN gives an outlook on a short term meaningful profit again they will probably be better off. There are another lot waiting for JUN.

Secondly there was an about 3.000.000 short interest before the sudden rise. With the expectations about the Amarine clinical trials to be positive one may be sure that part of those where closed and the others covered by long Call Options. That means there will be almost no buying pressure coming from the closing of short positions.

And then there is the psychology. People know that the stock will go some down after such a rise. Pros, non investor, traders are out since long. So now the question is until how low will people let the stock come before taking their profits. 15$ could be one of those mental numbers! If you would have an AMRN Long Call for instance wouldn't you exercise it know while you can still sell the stock at 15+ or would you wait expiration time at the risk you only get 13$ (knowing you paid a premium to be deducted from that price).

Believe me this is the worst time to be in AMRN if you where among the fortunate people that bought them below 9 before the rise. Selling know and buying them back after May 20 could be a smart move, but then again there is always that little greedy voice that says : what if they suddenly double again and I am not in the position!

I've only 5000 AMRN left, in combination with a Short Call, and on May 20 i take the rest of my profits, no matter what, by delivering them @9. That hurts, but that was the part of my AMRN investment made because we didn't exactly know if the news was to come out in mid APR as calculated by many or if it would take more time. So those 5000 will be less profitable for me, but good for the ones that hold the other side of the contract. They paid me 2$ not knowing for sure either if AMRN was going to rise before MAY 20.
