do we know who actually put out the $2 billion price tag? as far as i am aware, it was not the company. it may have been the author of the article who was merely stating that the current value of the company is over $2 billion and stating basically anyone buying AMRN would have to pay at least that amount. the buyout could be $4 billion or more. as far as i am concerned, the article did not come from the company it was merely conjecture and an the opinion of the author. first of all, why would the company even publicly state a buyout number and second, why would they put out a number that is less than their current market cap?
