From what I read FCSC has achieved much longer-lasting results with azficel-T than dermal filers.
That’s a bad thing for two reasons:
1. If the result is unfavorable, the patient is stuck with it; and
2. The lack of repeat business undermines the incentive for docs to use the product.
Something else to bear in mind: A company called Artes Medical used to make a “permanent” dermal filler called ArteFill that I strongly criticized on this board a few years ago when the company went public (e.g. #msg-17295648).
Artes is now bankrupt (#msg-33895436), just as FCSC used to be.
