About Mississippi Casino Operators Association
MCOAlogoThe MCOA is comprised of casino operators with facilities along the Mississippi Gulf coast. Its mission is to promote the common businesses and general welfare of Mississippi's Gaming Industry; to improve the industry's service to the public, to cooperate with government officials in advancing the public interest and to improve conditions within the industry. This mission is accomplished through education, representation, legislative support and interaction, statistical data collection, and the support and promotion of the tourism industry in general. The MCOA annually produces the highly successful Southern Gaming Summit, held each Spring in Biloxi, which is credited with bringing national and international recognition to Mississippi's gaming industry. The MCOA also provides a University of Southern Mississippi scholarship through the MCOA Endowment Fund, established in 1998. To be eligible, students must study gaming or tourism at USM, and preference is given to someone already in the industry that wishes to pursue a degree in this field.
