Agree with you. ST encouraged their subscribers to buy yesterday ahead of presumably "big" news today. The sad part of all of this is that they are still not saying anything about this as they continue to send out new recommendatations. At the very least they could say that they made a mistake or was lied to. But to say nothing makes their credibility look bad.
