Will Environmentalists Kill Pebble?These folks seem unrelenting.... Here is a link where they recently attended Rio Tinto's Shareholder meeting.

According to the article a group managed to meet with the CEO of Rio Tinto for and hour. Managed to convince him that the open pit is a bad idea. He still wants to do an underground mine. Obviously, the enviromentalist want no mines at all.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think solely the undergound mine would represent only about one third of Pebble's potential.

Addtionally, the article claims over 80% of the local population are against the project.

They plan to run a full page ad in the NY times this week.

Does not sound good for the home team.

Also, does anybody know what has happened with the lawsuit against the state re permitting? I thought the judge promised to rule in March.
