Having made the trip to Asia eight times, I can assure you I would not begrudge Scott for relenting to First Class for that lengthy of a trip. My last trip I saw a young, physically fit guy literally
carried off the plane because of leg cramps. Economy really sucks for flights that last 20 hours or more, especially when you throw in the crying babies (which I now bring my own).
It's a scene out of Dante's Inferno. Unfortunately, I am forced to fly economy for myself and my family and even then it costs us almost $6,000.
If it turned out that (1) Scott did in fact go to China and (2)he flew economy, I would have the utmost respect for his thriftiness. But I doubt we will ever find out.
