It baffles me at how many people here, especially those who have owned/managed companies, so quickly disregard the possibility of lost sales due to the appearance of a weak business. You don't think Lockheed has done the same with small companies? Where are the large orders from them? For all we know they cancelled a huge threat-fire belt contract for similar reasons.
Why shut out a portion, however small, of your market for any reason?
Is it small? The stock price issue seems to be an international sales trend. I havent run the numbers but international sales is a large, significant, if not major portion of virtra's income.
It's easy to be critical of the sales force, but are we attending the trade shows, talking with customers? I don't see how many here can comment without being on their shoes.

I, however, can say as a customer, I'd rather buy my washer and dryer(and extended warranty) from Sears rather than the new mom/pop appliance store with limited resources.
