If the competitor's chart is correct (nobody says it is, of course), then their device is indeed virtually 100% efficient (virtually every last Watt drawn by the device is transfered to the water).
WDRP cannot improve on that, regardless of the material or heating technology they use.
Of course, the market doesn't necessarily know this, and anything labelled "new" "microwave technology" or "99% efficient" can attract dollars. If they are also cost-competitive and their devices have less wear & tear, they can sell many many units indeed.
