bulldzr, since you mentioned the complexity of the MSFT - NOK relation...it would be worth to even consider the complexity of the license that MSFT had with Nortel...means...MSFT might not have transfer or sub-license rights.
Also, I didn't say anything about MSFT dominating the phone or PC world. All I said was that the rights for the patents could be only if they are in the phone business. Software (their Operating System....like Google's android) might need some patents as well, but I don't know if Nortel has anything in there that it can license out to MSFT. Having said that, MSFT and NOK could intelligently use their rights by calling the phones as MSFT phones.
