Michael I. Cohen is a Managing Director of Janes Capital Partners, a middle market investment banking firm with offices located in Irvine, Los Angeles and San Diego CA.

Mr. Cohen has completed over 30 transactions during twelve years of buy side M&A and private equity investing. Prior to joining Janes Capital Partners, Mr. Cohen led strategic mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures for Honeywell International, Inc. (formerly Allied Signal) where his team acquired $3.4 billion of revenues in 7 years. Mr. Cohen also made and monitored private equity investments for Norwest Venture Capital and 3i Capital generating over 25% IRR. He founded two companies and managed technology development programs for General Electric and Kulicke and Soffa, Inc.

Mr. Cohen has published numerous articles on corporate finance and has advised such companies as Hewlett Packard, Johnson & Johnson, and General Electric on M&A.

Mr. Cohen holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business, a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, and is licensed by the California Department of Real Estate.
