I keep seeing Fronteer Gold and Newmont Mining Corp involved with
Long Canyon Valley Nevada mining claims when poking around.
Is there some relationship or am I missing something or have
the wrong site, different claims ???

Long Canyon Project, Nevada

The Long Canyon Project is located in Elko County, northeast Nevada, on the east flank of the Pequop Mountains, approximately 37 kilometers southeast of the town of Wells, Nevada. Elevations for Long Canyon exploration drill hole collars range from 1,890 to 2,040 meters. The Long Canyon Project is an advanced-stage gold exploration property, on which potentially economic grade gold mineralization has been encountered in both surface outcrops and in exploration drills holes to relatively shallow depths of 300 meters vertically. The property consists of approximately 46 square kilometers of unpatented federal lode claims and private land. As of December 31, 2009, the Long Canyon Venture holds a total of 477 mining claims in the Joint Venture area of interest. On July 15, 2009, the Company completed the purchase of 11,805 acres of ranch lands, which included 1657 acre feet of water rights zoned quasi-municipal. It drilled seven additional holes, of which six contained mineralization.
