The sign was a landmark of the old Smith's Cross Lake Inn that had been at that location for many years. Jayne's has the same number of letters so she used the original fixture. Probably dates back to the 60's I came to the area in the late 70's and used to eat there for business dinners back in the day.

Update: Just read a review form when Jayne opened.
The new owners have made the restaurant look awesome, but the service
was Pathetic! I never waited so long for basic service at any restaurant. People were leaving in disgust as the servers waited hand
and foot on one table (which we found out later was where the owners and family were seated) and ignoring everyone else!! After two and 1/2 hours we received our COLD food that was marginal at best. This is no way to run such a landmark of a restaurant. Sad, very sad. We will not be back.

We shareholders got the same service eh?
