maybe so on the 1st sentence but i would think that heavy metal toxicity would be more of a threat than radiation since the half-life of Th232 is 1.4E10 yrs. My comment about Th not being particularly hazardous referred to the external radiation hazard rather than hazards due to ingestion/injection.

Thorium was not excreted very well and stayed within the liver basically forever. It was the constant low level radiation to the liver that caused angiosarcoma formation 10-20 years later.
