We do it differently down here on the east but pretty close.

10 feet from the boat, I use teasers, usually squid teaser followed by a bigger fish teasers.

50 feet from the boat in the middle I use a skirt on a pre-rigged bait(bright blue green) and 65 feet from the middle a second skirt(Bright blue green)

The two down riggers about the same feet down. If your on the cliff, 50 to however 400+.

I also use a plug for the shotgun line 150 feet from the boat. The two outriggers, The left about 35 and one at 85 feet.

The shotgun plug is used to attract wahoo, and outriggers usually attract sail fish, mahi mahi, and the down riggers for the big fish swimming around waiting to eat the surface fish.
