I'm not sure why this article has resurfaced, it was published in Sept. of 2010 and was quoted a couple of times today on Twitter too, very odd.
Unfortunately, when they say that they are going to re-launch the drug and they say it in Sept., then we tear away a few pages of our calendar and here we are in March and from what I've heard they aren't any closer to doing anything, I just don't know how quickly it's going to end up on the market again. Then, when it does, they are going to most likely do it at NIPRD in limited quantities and they'll have to start from scratch with a sales team because there wasn't one at Xechem. I was introduced to yet another new person at one of the banks a couple of weeks ago and asked what there were doing (thought maybe there was a shot at moving forward) and he said the banks are going to produce for a year and then sell the license (his exact words). I didn't say it, but I wanted to ask how they planned on selling a license they didn't own in the first place. I know there are lawsuits that NIPRD isn't fighting, so I guess that means they essentially win the battle on that one... I did ask if they needed help with sales and distribution and he thought it was a good idea and would take it to the banks. I haven't heard from them...
