Hi 1step, I read all ocroft's posts and could not figure out exactly his algorithm. He stated that when PC stops moving up that's when he buys, but this makes no sense to me as PC is only increased on a buy.

If you understand ocroft's algorithm I'd appreciate an explanation.

My technique that I'm trying on CGNX, is that I wait to see two dips on the chart and that the latter dip is no lower than the first. This acts as a filter on buying.

With all these filters there's a tradeoff as you do end up buying at a higher price, and the stronger the filter the higher the buying price but the less chance of catching a falling knife.

Until someone comes up with a viable stop loss it's the next best thing.
