Ok the craziness of snow on the valley floor is coming to an end. Snow totals across the metro area range from 1" in downtown to 1.5" at the Portland Airport. Across the Columbia River in Vancouver 2.75" was reported.
Last night and today arctic air pours into the Pacific Northwest. Skies will clear and overnight lows drop into the low 20s. It's likely we're going to break overnight lows that have stood for over 40 years. Normally daytime highs for this time of the year should be in the low 50s. Today and Saturday Temperatures will be about 15 degrees below normal. That means that not only will we have record low temperatures. It's likely we're going to have record low high temperatures for the date.
Looking at the long term pattern temperatures will moderate early next week and may even get close to normal in the next 7 days.
Tonight's low 21
Saturdays high 35
