New Wave... probably my point is complementary to yours...

I do not anticipate Wave making much money off of HAP. I'd like to be wrong about that... believe me. But I don't think I am.

Now... what HAP has proven (given the fact that it has collected and integrated all the key TCG technologies)... is certainly valuable. And the fact that the NSA is now moving from its HAP work to a broader focus on Trusted Computing (the next generation) is, from my perspective, great news. Not unexpected. But great news.

The challenge, for a while as it turns out, has been to jumpstart a flagging Trusted Computing effort. The NSA is, I know, working very hard to make Trusted Computing as ready for prime time as possible... influencing industry (some would say "driving" industry) just as it did with the HAP program.
