In response to your post:

1. This is merely a conclusion unsupported by any previous evidence. There are a myriad of reasons why a group of patent claims are off the industry radar at this time.

2. Completely naive on your part. Most of the wireless sector is producing new technology on a daily basis and the identification of these patents could tip off an area on which IDCC is focusing and does not wish others to follow suit.

3. The purchase has been disclosed in an SEC filing to the extent that IDCC believes is necessary. The company has employees that formerly worked for the SEC and I have every confidence that they are well informed as to the content required in said filing.

4. Management has not blown-off anyone. Competitive reasons can mean a lot in an invention driven industry.

5. IDCC identified a cash purchase without any mention of the term "settlement". Your version is a tea leave concoction that will not pass the taste test.

6. Another jumpy conclusion because these patent claims may have been considered and rejected previously at a standards table, but have become in play again as a result of the problems and failures experienced by those companies who were first to market.
