Kuusisto explains. “So we are focusing on creating a new market rather than replacing an existing one.” There is an increasing number of players involved in printed intelligence R&D. “The multi- technology approach of VTT is its forte. We understand the interfaces between materials, processes and components. This is apparent in our development timetables: we get results more quickly,” Kuusisto says. “We combine technical expertise from areas such as chemistry, electronics, paper and biotechnology. This multi-technology approac enables us to genuinely innovate and create new things.”
